The Civic Kitchen with Frances Wilson offer SFPFS members and friends the opportunity to step into your kitchen and enjoy an informative and delicious cooking class taught by Chef Frances.

Thursday August 27 5pm-7pm Members $20 non-members $25

We will learn how to make Pide, a Turkish Flatbread with Caramelized Onions, Feta, Figs and Spinach.  Frances will show you how to make this super simple pillowy yeast dough, flecked with nigella seeds. She will demonstrate how to shape, fill and bake it. It will be accompanied by Cauliflower Tabouleh, showcasing some of summer’s seasonal bounty.

Participants can choose to cook along. You will need to buy your own ingredients and set up a laptop or tablet in your kitchen. You will be sent a shopping and equipment list when you sign up. At the end of the class, you will be able to sit down to a meal for at least four people and still have leftovers for lunch the next day.

The Civic Kitchen, a SFPFS corporate sponsor, is a cooking school located in San Francisco's Mission District, offering online classes and events for home cooks during times of Shelter in Place, and in-person classes and events when we are able to gather again in our welcoming, purpose-built kitchen.
